Karen Yates, an adoptive mom and popular blogger who formerly worked for Amazima Ministries, recently wrote an incredible blog post about The So Cal Orphan Care Network entitled "Start an Orphan Care Network." The So Cal Orphan Care Network was launched in 2011 by All Blessings Intl. Outreach Director, Jenni Ramsey, to provide support and encouragement to churches in So Cal with a passion for foster care, emancipated youth, orphan care or adoption.

The network has grown to over fifty members in the past year and God has done amazing things in our midst! We will be gathering again next Tues, April 24 from 7-9 pm at 17491 Parker in Tustin and everyone is welcome. Karen Dunkelberger, Executive Director of Foster Care and Adoptions for Olive Crest, will be speaking. Feel free to invite anyone who is interested in foster care, orphan care, or adoption!

T-Shirt Fundraiser
May El Salvador Team Fundraising Updates....
Two months and five fundraisers later, the Kentucky part of the May mission team has raised $9169!! We have 11 members of the team here with a goal of $22,000. That's a big number, but not too big for our God! We have been amazed, astounded, excited, and overwhelmed by the generosity we have seen as God works through the hearts of our family, friends, and church family at Macedonia Baptist.
We have had two fundraiser luncheons after our Sunday morning service, a Thirty-One Gifts fundraiser event, Orange Leaf Yogurt held a fundraiser for us (yum!), and we have sold homemade lollipops by the hundreds for Valentine's Day.
This week, we have a fundraiser scheduled at a restaurant called Beef O' Brady's, and on Easter Sunday we will be taking photographs of families and individuals at our church for donations.
We have dates scheduled for fundraisers at McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, and are working on a volleyball tournament, a softball tournament, and a praise concert!
Finally, we have had an amazing donation of two NFL footballs (see previous post) with over 70 signatures from players! Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, Marshal Yanda, Brandon Marshall (Pro Bowl MVP), and Matt Forte just to name a few. We are so excited to see what those bring. :)
We are exhausted, but it's a good kind of exhaustion. We are humbled and thankful God is allowing us to take this journey to El Salvador so we might show His love to the people there!
