Our team of 18 has arrived safely after an uneventful day of travel. We are tired, but excited to serve the beautiful people of El Salvador! We just enjoyed a Pizza Hut delivery for dinner, and are having a quick team meeting before we hit the hay.
Tomorrow morning we will be serving in a local, Spanish-speaking church. Most of our team members will be serving the teens and children in Sunday school and I (Jenni) will be giving a message on Luke 10 ("The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few").
After our afternoon team meeting, we will be preparing and delivering meals to the homeless community. Tragically, many of the youth from the orphanages end up on the streets once they age out (at age 18). We feel honored to be able to provide a meal to "the least of these" tomorrow evening.
